From the Broker

My name is Courtney Parks, and I'm the Principal Broker and Director of Operations for Allegiance Property Management. I've been lucky enough to call Northern Virginia my home for 40 years. Northern Virginia is an ideal place to own an investment property. With Washington D.C. in our backyard, and an abundance of government agencies, tech companies, defense contractors and military bases, our area benefits from a consistent demand for rental housing.


I’ve been in property management for almost 20 years, and I am passionate about what I do. I’ve been a renter, and I'm a homeowner, which means I understand pain points on both sides. I’ve learned that empathy goes along way, and that the resident experience is equally as important as the owner experience. Happy residents tend to stay longer and display greater care for your investment. This translates to a more lucrative long-term investment opportunity. I also understand that not every client is the “traditional investor.” Many clients are faced with renting out their homes due to a life change—perhaps a job relocation or military transfer. To them, this isn’t just an investment; it’s their home and they plan to return. My goal is to foster a connection with every client, give honest, professional advice, and provide the best property management experience possible.

    • I’m a tenant at an apartment managed by Allegiance Property Management and it’s been a really great experience so far. During my almost three years living here, the Allegiance team has been a pleasure to work with; they’re always very responsive anytime I’ve emailed them (usually answering within an hour) and are always friendly and patient. They’re also great about proactively handling maintenance and making sure that any potential issues with the apartment are taken care of before they become an actual issue. Overall, I’d highly recommend using them to manage a property - from a tenant’s perspective, it makes a big difference when you’re living somewhere that’s managed by people that are competent, attentive, and pleasant to work with.

    We've had Courtney and her team assist us for over 10 years, and they are the best!  Military orders have taken us from the DC metro areas, and Allegiance has been the key to successfully in renting two homes when we were away.  They were extremely responsive to effecting repairs for the tenants, and then meticulously worked to get our home ready for us to move back in at the end of the rental.  They have the expertise to assist in finding renters too!  Thank you.
